Composition

The network is composed of organizations of women leaders, rural women, women communicators, women politicians and parliamentarians, women’s rights activists, women union members, religious women and businesswomen. A managing council, elected for two years,  directs the network; this council has at its helm an executive board of 12 members (three for Sierra Leone, the country housing the network’s headquarters, five for Guinea, including the outgoing President, and four for Liberia).

The presidency of the network is rotating and the two other countries assure the vice presidencies. The executive board is comprised of a president, first vice-president, second vice-president, the outgoing president; presidents of five technical commissions (fund-raising, mobilization of resources, program, finance, and communication) and three national focal points.

The new officers as of June 29, 2004 are:

    Second Vice President: Hadja Tiguidanké Diakhaby (Guinea)

  President, Finance and Resource Management Commission: Ruth Ceasar (Liberia)

  President, Lobbying Commission: Elisabeth Mulbah (Liberia)

  President, Resource Mobilisation Commission: Elisabeth Alpha-Lavalie (Sierra Leone)

  President, Programme Commission: Camara Georgette Safo (Guinea)

  President, Communication et Media Commission : Martine Condé (Guinea)
